Here are some songs I noodled out to give you and idea of what kinds of Theatre Organ sounds the jOrgan and Miditzer are capable of. This group of songs were made on the MidiTzer 216 ver. 40 with a pre USF sound font made up from Bruce Miles, John Tay's and McMurray sound fonts.  I apologize for the mistakes,  I only play for my own amazement and hadn't seriously touched a keyboard in over 15 years when I made these first  recordings right after I first discovered Jim Henry's  MidiTzer.
Since I discovered the Miditzer and jOgan they have renewed my interest in Theatre Pipe Organs.

Baby Face (Dry)

Is It True What They Say About Dixie (Dry)
These Songs Were Recorded in 2002 by Dale Zieger. Joe Hardy's Virtual Pipe Organ is 3 Manual WurliTzer style 260 console using 9 Alesis QSR modules (pre MidiTzer, Hauptwerk and jOrgan) Using Trem Sampled files Recorded, Processed and Looped by Joseph Hardy.

Recording History: The samples were originally developed with GigaSampler, then squeezed down to 2 to 4 megabytes and loaded into seventeen 8MB flash memory cards which were installed in nine Alesis QSR modules.  Each QSR delivered 64 voice polyphony.  The outputs from the nine QSR modules were mixed down (dry) to two channels and fed into a Sony DAT recorder. The DAT files were imported into Sound Forge where Joe applied a bit of convolved reverb using their Acoustic Mirror tool. At that time, PCs were not fast enough for real-time convolved reverb.  Today Gigapulse (in Gigastudio Orchestra version) and many other reverb software packages can perform convolution reverb in real time without any problems with CPU overload.
The Dry versions of the songs are recorded live with only the QSR's default reverb.

The songs below were recorded on Dale's 4 manual VTPO (above).  It uses 12 samplers (Alesis, Roland, and Kurzweil) playing back tremmed sampled sound files, 33 channels, and 185 speakers. The recording was made on a Roland CD2 with no additional reverb or processing......this is the way the organ actually sounds in his home.
These Songs Were Recorded By Les Knoll on his custom built 3 Manual Virtual Pipe Organ using Korg Synth modules (pre MidiTzer, Hauptwerk and jOrgan)

Jesse Crawford - Mediation (Thais) 1b.mp3
Jesse Crawford - Mediation (Thais) 2b.mp3
Just for fun, One of these is an actual recording of Jessie Crawford on a real pipe organ, the other is a Virtual performance done by Jessie Crawford from a Player Roll performed on the Miditzer with GSO and the UGSF Files.  Go to the Yahoo VTPO forum and let us know which recording you think is real or virtual.
Note: 1b was recorded considerably higher in volume than 2b, You'll need to adjust the volume a little between them to get a better comparison.
